Answered: planning on switching out CPU soon... do i need to deactivate first?

howdy,

i have a quadcore cpu coming in the mail that i plan on switching with my current core2duo cpu into the exact same system, mobo, hard drives etc… same system, just different brain. i’m probably going to deactivate all my system licenses anyway just in case but i was just curious - would a CPU swap cause the zbrush license activation to throw up a warning and seem to it like i was switching computers?

Yes, it would. You should use Zplugin>Deactivation>Web Deactivation from within ZBrush first. After you’ve changed the hardware, do a new Web Activation to be up and running again with no hiccups.
