Answered: Nothing from web activation

After pressing the web activation a browser launches and then …nothing. Is the server overloaded or what. Either way I feel Pixologic could look at different ways to roll out their software to avoid this hassle.

Same for me. The server seems too busy.

I guess one of the easier ways to avoid server overload is to give 15 days use before requiring activation. That way everybody is trying to get through the door all at once.

Same problem here. I’ll try again later.

I think im having the same problem… i load up my copy of Z4 hit web activation, then the web page loads i put in all my info and hit “Start Activation” and the javascript window on the page goes away leaving only

" ZBrush Registration and Activation
This page is only for users who would like to activate the Macintosh version of ZBrush 4.0. "

I left it on that screen for about 2hrs and checked my email and i have not gotten my code yet.

I have been trying over and over about every 5 mins since then but still no luck… is there anyone else with this problem???

Yes, it just “dies” … This is with safari on OS X

ya … i have also tryed it with fireFox 3.5 and 4 beta

how many characters should i be getting for the “Reference No.” in the web activation page … right now im only getting a set of 4 – XXXX-XXXX -

When i activated my laptop i got a set of 5 – XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXX -

i dont know why that would but i think that may have something to do with why the page just dies for me.

Is anyone else having this problem??? or know how to fix it?
please help.

It should be five groups of four. If you’re getting two groups of four this means one of two things:

  1. You have set ZBrush to run in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows. This will not work. The only thing that should be active on Windows’ Compatibility tab is the option to run as administrator.

  2. You have a bad installation. Uninstalling, deleting the ZBrush 4 folder, then reinstalling resolves that.
