How can I sculpt a feather or any thin object without affecting the polygons on the back side? When I try to Mask out one side so I can work on the other my mask shows on both top and bottom. Why can’i I mask out only one side (like the bottom) and make the changes I want on the Top and vice versa?

Turn on Brush >> Auto Masking >> BackfaceMask. It automatically prevents your brush from affecting nearby surfaces with radically different surface normal directions. And the beauty is that it’s dynamic so you never have to mess with actually creating or removing a mask.

That works thanks
