Answered: demo used only 3 days

On June 3, 2010, I downloaded the 30 day trial of Zbrush. I was able to use it for 3 days. I got the download email and downloaded the trial. Received an email with the Activation ID and put it where needed when I opened up the trial. Everything worked fine, except the trial does not have all the function abilities of the real program. On the web page it says this: full-featured version of ZBrush 3.1. But, while watching the videos in the ZClassroom to see how the program works I had trouble following the steps stated as my trial did not contain all the abilities as were seen in the videos.

I decided to try going back into the trial today, 8-23-10, but the program required the Activation ID which I entered. It stated that it wasn’t a ‘valid ID’. I went to the Zbrush site and looked at the possible solutions. I tried everything and even uninstalled the trial program.

I downloaded the trial version again but now have no Activation ID to use.

Is it possible to get the trial back since I only used it for 3 days? I really want to try out this program. I’m an artist and was blown away at the possibility of being able to PRINT out my creations. Of course, I have to learn how to use the program first.

Lots of views but no responses? ok. np

Hi there,

The trial was for 30 calendar days; not 30 usage days. It’s no longer possible to start it working again.

Also, the trial is version 3.1. The most current version is ZBrush 4. Put another way, all the features that are a part of 3.1 are fully functional in the trial. However, many more features have been added since. This means that the current trial is a taste of ZBrush’s power.

There is no trial at this point for ZBrush 4 and I don’t know how soon one might be released.

ah, I see. Ok. Thanks so much for the clarification. I feel dumb now. :frowning: I will have to see about getting zbrush than so I can try it out. Looking through everyone’s results make it look so easy but when I tried it those 3 days, I was at a loss and it didn’t look that easy at all. LOL Just something one has to practice at.

Thank you very much for your response.
