because Zbrush is not a network license software, I’m currently forced to find a way to automate the registration for the software or be forced to register it around 50 times going from computer to computer. I have to do this EVERY year and sometimes multiple times a year when new images are created and rolled out. As you can imagine, this is not fun.
I’m now attempting to use autoit to register it, by opening the software clicking the buttons and entering our codes based on the name of the computer and a list of our serial codes… however when zbrush is run via batch file or autoit (ie anything other than clicking the icon) it locks up and all you can see is the little icon in the taskbar and the cursor thinking… thinking until you open task manager to kill the app.
Does anyone have some method to do this? There are several steps and if I can’t even get past the opening of the software itself… what’s worse is I also teach at a seperate location which uses Zbrush as well and the tech people there are unwilling to it one at a time and use a software which resets the machine every time they log off so students need to register zbrush every single time the log in… if I can get an automated registration method, I can solve both problems at both locations and my life… and the various students lives will be much easier.
Or better yet… do like all other major 3D software and start doing network licenses!!!
