no reason for sure but i need to practice a little more on zsketch to get the same result…
Besides of all the gimmicks in Painter: where do you see the differences to Zsketcher?
first you should know that i’m using painter 5 and it maybe three points of difference :
zsketcher can do material effect and lighting effect you can’t do faster in painter.
futhermore you can add 3d details in your composition with ZS not in painter.
in another way painter can adjust canvas on top left etc… which is much more practicle and there is also the possibility to use texture on paper background and it’s a good way to make your sketchs more natural.

Got Painter 5.5 and feel the same way about it. Maybe the fact that I started with Painter when it was the beginning of Metacreations made me stick with it (Painter) that long (and: AA that deserves the name!!!). Zsketcher: for the same reasons that you described ;)!
