Hi guys!
After working on Anna Maria for several months, she’s finally ready for the big world!
I fell in love with her when I saw the comic drawings of the Mozart series of David Garrido. My eye fell directly on the illustration of Anna Maria. I definitely needed to try to recreate her in 3D. Check out his awesome work at: https://www.latostadora.com/davidgarrido/ & https://www.instagram.com/davidgarrido.ink/
It was a fun project to work, even if it was hard sometimes, but I learned a lot from it. I’m very happy with the end result and it’s a strange feeling that she is done because I worked almost every week on her.
My idea was to make an interesting turntable, the first thought was to make an idle animation, so that she’s moving instead of just standing there. I tried to create a rig and every time when I was working on it, something else in the rig went completely haywire. So, in the end, I decided that it was best to delete the rig and make the turntable in another way interesting. So I designed a cute and small environment to tell a little story about the character.
I love to hear what you think of her and thank you for watching!
