Umf. Surprising. Did I re-pos myself? (I should sleep a bit more)
To Giantsun: I typed your name incorrectly TWICE. Sorry.
To Frenchy Pilou: this is a fantastic link: so much helping tricks! Thank you.
To Womball: I’ll try something, it’s an interesting idea. At first, I thought about something between mineral rock and human skin.
So…
Back to the problem:
To Doron: not good news, but thanks for writing. I read something about GUV’s and AUV’s, but it was confusing. In your opinion, the best choice is to fight with UV’s in the traditional way (Maya for me) and go back to Zbrush. Right. Then I’ll try to study Pelting Tools:
http://sunitparekh.com/pelting/
Some teachers and friends recommended it. I was looking for a shortcut. ¡Crash!
Anyway,
about modelling parts in Zbrush.
The options are:
-
joining the props in Maya…
-
using multi-marker (gets me crazy to control situation: any clue?)
-
making… what? a “flat” canvas in Zbrush? Just loading tools one by one… and placing them in desired position…??? But how can you control proportions in this option?
-
I read something about adaptative skin or mutimesh… I even tried something but I lost definition.
-
could morph target be an option somehow?
A few words- I have decided to post because I can find a lot of information (Offical Manuals, x ex.) but I don’t know how to start. It’s a bit hard for me to read all the time in English. I’m asking for a guide: just a link here or there for a precise explanation, or a graphical reference.
Thanks.
To Twitchmonkey: ahm. Yes yes. It’s easy to achieve this “effect” (I feel naïve): while modelling, I posed “Carmen” with the head turned a bit down. She would’nt look at you directly. Besides, she has no eyes*… And there are no wrinkles. It’s impossible to know what she is thinking.
*Did you see the desing of Stitch (Disney movie: Lilo and Stitch). The creature has no eyes, just a black shape in there… Like old cartoons or some Burton designs. Look like masks.
