its been such a long time since ive posted…i thought id just put this up, even though the rest of the body is unfinished…but ill attach that once i have it done…this head study is based on andrew cawarse’s wonderful human anatomy sculpture (http://www.freedom-of-teach.com) i recommend getting one for yourself…anyhow, ive learned a lot from doing this anatomy study…the initial sculpt can be found on my old thread:

What a great anatomy studie.
I´m learning and learning anatomy too, your try seems accurate, detailed and well proportioned.

damn anh, that is looking really great. a really nice piece you have here. looking forward to seeing the rest of the body at this resolution. you going to anymore friday classes or are you out of those??

Ang:THAT is amazing! The detail is incredible. Did you use the Color Atlas of the Human Body? A very useful book.

Either way, an excellent use of Z-brush for anatomy study…:smiley:

ps:if you can share your workflow as a MD dedicated this last years to learn in this very difficult world of the art i will appreciated, i just have words of admiration for this one. The Netter is a great atlas from CIBA Geigy Laboratories and your post remember also a very good reference from Andrew Lommys about head muscle.
Have you used alpha or make this from scracht?
