Anatomy, Ecorche. (WIP)

Something I’m doing to improve my knowledge of anatomy.

I’m missing some muscles, but I’m not sure if I want to add all of them. Also I have to move some muscles around a bit, especially in the upper arm. The abs also need work.

But it’s almost done. :D.

Wow, I meant to say, Skellie is NOT done by me and forgot the NOT. God…

looks good, it should be very good when your done.
it will be interesting to see it detailed.

as for adding in more of the muscles i think it would be a shame not to. but taking the rest of the model up to a higher detail may make it look more finished and have less need for the rest of them.

good luck;)

Thank you for commenting.
Yeah, I should have upped the subd on all the subtools before posting the screenshot but I was tired of working on it.

It looks really good. except for the abs. I think you can get away with one mesh for all of the abs. Than simply subdivide and form the abs that way. They are kind of like a strap of muscle anyway. Also the bulge in the forearm muscles happens closer to the elbow. It throws of the silhouette of the forearms.

I think this type of study is more useful than my one mesh studies. Although I’m on study 2 using this other method. I don’t learn quickly. You really learn where the attachment points are with the full skeletal and muscles sculpted.

Thanks man :D. Yeah definitely I think this style is better for learning anatomy than just using one mesh (well for me of course). I’ve also done it on paper, drawing the skelleton then attaching the muscles but now that I did it in 3D it’s much easier for me to remember because of the time I spend doing each muscle and being able to rotate it.
My drawing skills have improved so much thanks to Zbrush.

Yeah the upper arm is weird, it was the first thing I did. I wasn’t doing it as carefully as I did the rest. And yes the abs need work like I said in my first post.

Thanks again.
