Anatomy 2R2: Member's Showcase

Hey there. Its been a long time since I posted at ZBC but I really wanted to showcase some of the awesome work that people are doing in the Anatomy class at Visualarium.

So, I’m just starting this thread and now I’m off to email the members and see who wants to share their work.

Hey guys, I was lucky enough to get a slot in the class and it was one of the most important things I’ve ever done for my career, thank you Ryan for all the help and fantastic lectures.

Here is my work for the class. There are still tweaks to be made to my models but I haven’t found the time yet (sorry Ryan ;D)

I expected anatomy to be a necessary evil, but this has been so much fun.

Thanks for making it (almost) easy, man!
Hoping to finish working on the poses and have something fit to post soon.

Realizing that anatomy would be a important part of becoming a successful sculptor, I had to sign up for Ryan Kingslien’s anatomy class and I did so right when registration opened up and I do not regret it.

Ryan is a great teacher when it comes to anatomy and ZBrush! The class helped me a lot to understand
the human form and it was a lot of fun too. Here are some of my results from Anatomy 2R2. The last
one was not actually made for this class, but since I applied what I learned, I thought I should share anyway
I’ve never thought I would study anatomy and learn all the names of the muscles and bones, but I found it
really interesting to see how the body functions and the knowledge has improved my sculpting a great deal.

So, thanks a lot, Ryan! keep doing what
you’re doing!

Here is what i have so far. I am very pleased I took the time to enter this class. The way Ryan teaches makes it fun and understandable to learn anatomy. Even that we are just scratcthing the surface of anatomy I have learned so much that I feel a lot more confident in my sculpts and where to slap on the correct strokes.
Even if you already are a professional 3d/2d artist It is manageable to take this course, I had a lot of crunches at work, but still got the time to learn a lot and do most of the lectures. Even I don`t manage to complete it all I have learned more anatomy then I have done rest of my life, that it is what we got when we have the chance to learn from one of the best in sculpting anatomy in Zbrush!

I can`t wait to put my new experience to the test!
A big thank you to Ryan!

I have put together some work of mine from the course also a quick sketch of an alien creature thingy based on the models I made!

It is great seeing all of your results what you’ve made during this amazing class with Ryan. Really fantastic work all of you, it really is awesome seeing all of your improvements.:+1:
Ryan definantly is the best zbrusher teacher out there, would have loved taken part at this intense anatomy class. A great reference here definantly. Thanks for posting your hard work. :):+1:
All the best,

  • Kenny

awesome stuff guys. Would love to do the anatomy class one day.

But Ryan, you should make a thread like this for creature design too (if there isn’t one already?), and character design when it’s done, I’m sure alot of people would love to see what goes on in those classes as well

Hey Ryan, thank you for opening the gates of Florence with your Anatomy 2.0 !

Great course! Sculpting each muscle makes anatomy study much simpler.

I really like this anatomy study quim. The proportions are really accurate for most people. Reminds me of BodyWorlds cadavers. Had this surreal feeling to the it.

The flesh version looks more muscular which is odd though. The biceps look much larger than the echorce. I would think he would have more of a hipster lanky anatomy with flesh. Anatomy is still good though

Have you tried rendering these out?

@everyone this looks great. Reminds me of college doing echorce. MIght ahve to do a workshop at some point. Its been a long time since I have done an echorce.

Hello,

1, Lot to learn in Visualarium and Zbrush Workshops, thanks Ryan.

2, I found nice people there, too (though a bit crazy: hi Hendrik, Mr. Garreta, Remi, MattClap, The Hons, Maxx, Renato, Where is Petur, Joyce…).

3, William has a lot of patience and does not sleep.

Very nice wolf beast.
