very realistic in a strange way…(that’s a good thing). Did you photo texture this guy?

The head gear seems to be well modeled, but maybe try another material on it…looks pretty dark and flat?

Very spooky eye treatment.:+1:

No reference used at all…textured in zbrush…It was sort of an attempt to see how far I could go without looking at or using any reference…and to see how far zbrush could take me with all its strange eccentricities…

Muy bueno tiktok. Me gusta la textura y la expresión de amargado. Parece que está colocado, ¿no?:+1:

Really excellent work. Love the SSS on the ears. :+1:

Very nice texture and character … it need some detail on the face.
good work .:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Wow, looking good. Reminds me of Ukko from “Slaine: The Horned God”

The model is way cool…the texture is superb as well!!! Great stuff man

Hi, tiktok

Interesting character. I liked a lot the skin shader. Congrats!:+1:

Mauro

Super creepy character in a good way.
Great first post.
:+1:

thanks everone!..this thing has really been a struggle for me trying to learn more about texturing and shading. It’d be cool to do an animation…as I’d like to prove the validity of GUV tiling…(I have heard that they don’t animate well?..I didn’t believe it, so I GUVed this in the hope of trying out an animation). It just seems more practical than having to fuss for hours with laying out UVs…

salta: what do you mean by placed? “colocado?”

alannoon: “slaine:the horned god”? sounds cool…is it a character from a book or a movie?

It was a comic series put out ages ago. It was my first introduction to the artwork of Simon Bisley. SOme info here:

Check out gallery 2. There are a couple of Ukko pics

I can’t wait to see more of your character!

i love it!

That’s totally right on the money, minus the ears…Thanks for info on this character!..I think I might finish his clothes out with something similar…

Can’t wait to see more!

Now we need a Slaine: The Movie!

Here’s some more in progress…
I’ve been messing around with the eyes a bit…they looked kinda of bad and unrealitic before…hopefully getting to something a bit more promising…
Resculpted the chest area in zbrush…added some guns…

He needs clothes...right now he's buck naked....perhaps it will just be a dirty old blanket?

Put together a skeleton tonight…hopefully soon I will have some time to pose and resculpt his stringy muscles…then on to making him some clothes…
let me know what you think…(still super WIP…but getting there)
