ZBrushCentral

am i the only one who thinks this forum needs some organisation?

I dont know if its just me, or if i am just not used to it but i find zbrushcentral very cluttered and poorly organized.
I guess i’m used to cgtalk, and other forums like it.
But in my view there should be seperate sections for WIPs and Finished works to help clear our the “main” forum. Atm its like having all your files on a computer in one folder, there are tips, questions, wips, community things, finished works, and so on. Its just crazy, its like one big room with everybody talking at once all about different things.

some very simple forums organization would help cut down on all the clutter and make stuff easier to find, and not get swamped in posts and flushed off the page in 2 minutes.
I would like to see something like these added:
WIP
Finished
News (for posts about zb from the pix team)
feedback
and sub sections for help:
Painting
sculpting
general
beginners

something like that, i dunno, maybe someone else has a better list…

But i think that if ZB’s user base continues growing at the pace it is now its going to get very congested and messy in here very fast. :frowning:

what do you guys think? am i just anal? cause right now i’m finding ZBC very frustrating as a forum, there is so much great stuff but its so hard to find anything. this is NOT sparta, this is madness

course this will probably get swept away in half an hour

i very much agree, the lack of sub-forums makes this place quite cluttered

phew, i thought maybe it was just me seeing as i’ve heard no one else mention it.
I hope they fix it up.

There are a few “sub-forums”, but not necessarily the type you are talking about. Many ZBrushers have felt the same way over the years. Who knows, once ZB3 issues quiet down a bit, the moderators will be able to address this.

Just wondering, and pardon me if you’ve already done so, but if you go to ZBrushCenrals Main Page, there are sub-forums for Challenges, Trouble-Shooting, Tutorials, FAQ, etc.

Need to dust too.

Need to lock all of the Z2 plugin threads… every time somebody bumps them I think there are Z3 versions out

Curtains would be nice.

no curtains…zbrushers are pale enough:D

true  there are sub forums, and thats great but i think there is still room for organising them a bit better (adding some more)
The “main” forum is just a mess, people asking for help, people announcing releases, people posting wip’s, people posting finished work etc etc…
This thread for example got moved to the community forum, which acording to its description is for “All non-ZBrush topics … computers, movies, books, hobbies, and life in general.”
See i wouldn’t have thought to put this thread there to start with, because i dont think it meets those criteria.

This site needs to have better sub sections.
For wip’s
finished work
and then for help and feed back.

I would have put this into “feedback and suggestions” if that existed.

also if there was a place beginners could go and ask all the typical beginner questions (and also see all the typical beginner questions) they would not keep cluttering up the rest of the forum and they would be able to get up and running much faser.

This isn’t some crazy whim of mine, there is a reason sites like CGtalk are built the way they are.

http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=46335I had the same thought

i dont even know how to start a new thread, so i can ask people for help!

I can only agree… atleast make a Z3 and a Z2 specific tutorial / plugin / script forum.

When you’re in a forum up the top left hand side is a big orange button saying “new post”
Thats what you’re after…however deciding where to ask your question is up for grabs seeing as there are no clearly designated areas :-1:small_orange_diamond:-1:small_orange_diamond:-1:

Best idea posted since release of Z3.
