Is it possible to automatically create a new polygroup when using an Alpha?
That would be very handy!

Off the top of my head, the Polygroups> Group Changed Points function is probably the most direct way to do this with any brush stroke, not just Alphas. However, there are many indirect ways to do this. Remember that Masking = Polypaint= Polygroups. Any of those can be converted into the other in the program through options in the Polypaint, Masking, and Polygroup palettes.
