Alpha grab is including my highlighted subtool

I’m trying to alpha grabdoc a bunch of tiles, but when I do it includes the highlighted tile in the grab and I can’t seem to find out how to deselect the subtool or not include it in the grab.

Here’s the grabdoc that it renders, with the white subtools selected. The really strange thing is that on my screen it looks like the second image with nothing selected.

Pretty sure I have had the same issue as you, or one very close to that.
I think in the end I had to append all of my subtools to a polymesh 3D to fix the problem.

The selected tool is all white and you cannot see any shading detail right?

I know if not much of a fix…

I hope it helps

Thanks for the workaround Conrad. I’ll give that a try then

Not at home, but maybe press g and drop to canvas. Alpha grab then press g and pickup. Might work for ya.

Dropping to the canvas didn’t work for me.

For future reference, the fastest way for me was to take it into Photoshop and cut/paste another tile over the top of it. Took seconds to fix and you can’t tell the difference. This fix wouldn’t have been possible in a more complex mesh though.
