I’m in colorize mode and I can’t seem to understand why there is a circular transparency happening over the top of my feather alpha. Also, how do I make my image so it draws/drags out in the pixel dimensions of the original image? Right now it’s being squashed because it’s in a square format but clearly it’s not a square image. I can’t remember if this is fixable or not.

no, stencil is off. That black square is just a poly plane to illustrate my issue. It’s as if there is a circular alpha overlapping my alpha image causing a transparent drag/stoke. Problem is that I don’t know where it’s coming from, my feather alpha certainly doesn’t have it.
It was focal Shift! I turned it down to -100 and that eliminated the transparency effect. Silly but useful knowledge.
Now how do I project a non-square texture image in colorize mode??
Okai, the only thing to do is to make sure that your elongated image, such as a feather is on a image background that is perfectly square. I remember I got stumped by that a few years back but have forgotten unril just now. All is well now.
