Alpha channel deformation - alpha masking

I am following this tutorial about using alpha masks to deform geometry, was wondering whether anybody new of tutorials that are up to date with r.3 because the one I am following is a little of date and is a bit confusing…

Does anybody know any tutorials about alpha masking and deformation in zbrush?

The tutorial I have got is this gnomon one, which is great but like I say a little out of date:

You now simply use Tool>Masking>Mask By Alpha.

For a document that details the changes between 3.5 and earlier versions simply look in your ZBrush 3.5 R3 folder. There are two PDF’s there, one of which covers What’s New.
