In the past few years the Alien movies have come out in many versions.
The new dvd version, are probably the home run of the group.
I am going to watch them in order and have just finished the second one Aliens 2.
The quality is excellent and there are a lot of scenes not in any previous versions.
The one with Ripley finding out about her daughter is included.
A brand new lengthy scene touches and shows the younger girls parents, resolving plot questions from the original version.
If you get a chance it’s worth seeing for the upteenth time.

Those “sequels” - I am not sure if they are needed for anything but earning money!?
Part one is still the very best (only my opinion) - you can only get a faint view of the horror that lurks around. Seeing those aliens every other minute destroys all the tension that is building up perfectly in part one.
Those others are “nice” movies, sure - but they will not stay in memory like the first, I guess!?
