Alien Head Update...final

Hello, i am quite new here and have only been using ZBrush for a week and a half, maybe two…

i am trying VERY HARD to model an alien head using the amazing ZScript by Ken Brilliant, however when it comes time for me to model the finer deatails (eyelids, lips, features) i have no idea what i am doing

could someone please point me in the right direction?

This is about as far as i have been able to progress without making a TOTAL mess of things:

thanks

There are several head modeling tutorial ZScripts that come with version 1.55b. Basic Head Modeling is the main tutorial, with quite a few sessions after that which you can watch.

You should also be able to find instructions for particular features (eyes, nose, ears, etc.) in the QuickLinks. There is a link to that in the upper right corner of every page here at ZBC.

Welcome aboard!

thank you very much for your help!

i will get back to work armed with new information

thanks agian!

THANK YOU AURICK!!

here is the second phase of my first ZBrush creation, thanks to aurick’s advice

i still have a lot of work to do, but i think i may be headed (no pun intended) in the right direction!

edit
i can’t quite figure out why the mouth area is so blurry, i don’t think i did anything different there than i have done elsewhere on the piece…?
/edit

Nice update NeoFight !! Great model !! I see forward for final image !!!

Thanks for the kind words MrBraun!

this is NO Ken Brilliant, but i am learning and having fun with it…

still have a ways to go yet, but i though i would get some 212

thanks

question…
once i get some eyes i like (NOT these) how do i join them with the head so i can rotate everything at once?

Thats doing it the hard way. If I may offer another…first, mask everything but the eye area and use the smooth deformation to smooth out the modeling you have already done. You are basically going to start over. Once you have this done, try the method in this thread. Hope this helps you.

Hi Neo
Take a look at this also
Have happy Zbrushing
Pilou

great information! thanks for all your help

i had one more question, where in the wide world of Z do i find the multimarker so i can make a composite mesh? and how is a composite mesh made?

okay so that was TWO questions i tried to sneak in as one… LOL

Your best bet is to go to the Quicklinks Section and read up on the threads about the MultiMarker tool.

:td:

well, clearly i have A LOT to learn, but i had fun creating this dude

i will try something new in the next couple of days

:o

so rather than start a new thread, thought i would post the new idea here…

it is going to be an Orc like creature… i hope

121 welcome!

Cool, keep them coming. After this head you should try to create a full body using zspheres.
