Nobody help me to send my model from Zbrush to Lightwave ?

Do you need help with the geometry export process or the map generation process or both? Lightwave can probably import .obj files, which you can export out of zbrush. You can generate all the maps you need in zbrush and then plug them into whatever real time shaders are available in LW. Can you ask a more specific question?

I have no problem to export object in obj format.
I need help to configurate the options of uvmap, normalmap, texture etc… in Zbrush to créate a displacement map and after to configurate the options in lightwave to apply the displacement and the texture on the objet for render the scene.

Here’s the workflow:

Create a mesh with zspheres and model it up.

If necessary (and it usually is) create a low poly model based on the high poly sculpt using zbrush’s retopo tools or use a third party program like topogun.

Export the new low poly model to lightwave or max or whatever and layout the UV’s.

Import the low poly with correct UV’s back into the lowest subdivision of your model and reproject the high poly detail.

Once this is done, you can create your maps, export them, and apply them to the low poly where ever you want to.

It sounds to me like you’re skipping the step where you take the low poly out and UV it. Is this correct? Or do you have the UV’s and the textures already and just need to know how to set it all up in lightwave?

I will say, you made a damn fine example of how to use Zspheres! Great stuff!

I won’t point out the inconsistencies in design due to the fact that you will likely regard me as a pain in the ass x 2… but I will say this… from an artistic/skill/talent POV… you do excellent work! From a canon POV… it could use a bit of refinement, but it’s still leaps and bounds better than many I’ve seen!

Whenever I work on an ALIEN sculpt, I always try and have actual reference, otherwise my idea of how it should look is waaaaaaay off. I made a queen from memory ages ago and kept it on file… went back to it, tried to spruce it up… and after creating my newest one from reference, the old one is a major pos, lol!

Keep it up!

Tanks and good luck for your queen ! The alien’s design is very cool and complex too. But we like this :stuck_out_tongue:
