This is a wip of a hand i’m sculpting. For now, I’m pretty happy with the basic shape (the fingers need some touch ups), but I don’t know how to start adding more details. How do you start adding things like small wrinkles, I’ve tried using projection master but it doesn’t really work out that well. Any suggestions?
Also, is there a way I can attach this arm to an existing body?
Which version of ZBrush is it?
Zbrush 2
Basic Idea of what I want to have when I’m finished. I want to put the hand model on the devil and have him holding the angel by its feet. If anyone has any suggestions on anything I’m more than happy to hear them.
thx

hehe, another question
I originally made the mesh out of Zspheres, and still have the original Zsphere layout. But the mesh that I sculpted isn’t associated with the Zspheres. Can I reasociate the mesh with the zshperes somehow? I basically just want to move the characters arms and legs - as well as pose the hand model at the top of the page.
Haven’t really changed much, this is my first somewhat succesful full body model, only my second try tho. I’m hoping to make a realistic one on my next attempt. As always comments and suggestions are encouraged, I would like some idea of what I’m doing well / not well. Its hard to see yourself sometimes.
I’m still trying to figure out how to attach the realistic hand I made onto this model if it is even possible. As for posing I’m going to put it into maya and rig it.

To add those tini wrinkles and skin pores, you need projection master.
Enter projection master with deformation turned on.
Select the alpha with the picture of the texture you want, be it wrinkles, pores, whatever.
set your stroke to Drag Rect ( you can use different ones )
Make sure the Zadd or Zsub are turned on
You can use different brushes, single layer brush, deco brush, etc…
Then click and drag on the mesh to see the 3D result.
When you exit projection master, make sure deformation is turned on.
done.
Thx for the advice, I’d been using projection master but I didn’t think to use alphas. That should make it way easier.
hi james…are you on a mac? I ask because you say you are using z2 but z3 is a free upgrade and you should upgrade to that (if you have a win pc…or a mac that can run win apps)…then you would be able to do some of the things you asked about…like posing, and adding a mesh to another kind of stuff.
anyways…keep exploring…looks like you are learning loads
z3 is free? Damn I thought u had to buy it. Is the file very big? The computer I have Z2 on doesn’t have an internet connection right now so I have to go through my parents laptop to get internet
Edit: Oh I forgot, I’m on a really crappy pc with 512 mb ram
