I just tried to activate my copy of ZBrush 4 (Mac) but had an issue with the Pixologic website, it was unable to email me the Activation Code. I got the following PHP error.

> Warning: mail() [function.mail]: Could not execute mail delivery program ‘/usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i’ in /home/regadmin/public_html/activation/opt/resend.php on line 75

I tried it again but now I’m getting this message.

> This license key has already been activated for this machine.
> To send another copy of the activation key, please click the button below.

So it looks like the account has been activated but I haven’t been emailed the serial number.

Their server is getting hammered at the moment. Just keep pressing the button to resend the activation every now and again and it’ll eventually work.

lol, once I have my mail and it spews out errors , i’m writing an autoit script that automatically retries for me till it succeeds.

has repeatedly trying to get the server to resend worked for anyone yet?

I selected enter activation code and just left ZBrush running, went into it a few times and back out again, tapping on the bottom of the ZBrush screen by accident as that is near the Apple apps doc, and ZBrush came to life. Tried it a few times and kinda works randomly based around going in and out of the app and tapping on the bottom of the screen. Good for a play around, exports and imports fine, although still has activation box awaiting a code to be entered. kinda like a trial version at mo I guess. Pixologic is this a bug? may it be a problem in that people can get using Z without purchasing it quite easily?

I had the same problem but after a few retries it finally gave me the activation code on the web page but I did not receive an email so far.

Got the same errors as in halogenic’s original post, but tried a few times after leaving 7 to 10 minutes between attempts. Got the activation number on the screen, but am yet to get an e-mail confirmation. Product activated smoothly. Hope you get yours working soon.

I had the same problems: got all the way to the final screen twice, but the site reports it can’t send me an activation email.

Gave up for now and requested the activation via email. Playing with the new toy will have to wait…

This page is only for users who would like to activate the Macintosh version of ZBrush 4.0.

To send another copy of the activation key, please click the button below.

and so I selected to resend activation Key and I got the activation key showing up on the web page, so I am finally underway on Z4.

Anyone who gets a technical server error message where the activation code should be needs to simply press the Back button. You’ll be taken back to the page that now tells you that ZBrush has already been activated for this machine. Wait about five minutes, then click the button to request the code.

Alternatively you can wait a few minutes and start Web Activation over again. That will get you to the “already activated for this machine” page as well.

Either way, one of your attempts will eventually work and you’ll get the activation code. Only one activation will be deducted from your serial number, no matter how many attempts you have to make for the same computer.

Please do NOT just keep trying again every few seconds. That only compounds the server errors rather than giving the system a chance to catch up.

Crazy!

I had to click the submit/retry buttons five times before the website finally displayed my activation codes.

Hope the software is more reliable…

I got the SQL server error also, then hitting the back button sent me to a page saying ‘There was an error emailing your activation key’. I decided to wait to find out if any solutions were posted. That was last night, but now if I try to start over from my original notification e-mail, I get sent to the

“PAGE INVALID
Access to this page is only valid for a certain time period. This link is either not yet or no longer valid. If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service.”

So now I’m kind of stuck. Sent a message to customer service, but no official word back yet.

Once you got the message from Cleverbridge that they’re trying to get the serial number for you, the upgrade link is no longer good. You have an account for ZBrush 4 now, which is all that link is for. As soon as Cleverbridge’s system is able to get a serial number for you they will email you with the download link and serial.

There is nothing more that can be done until then. You can delete the original upgrade email because that link has been used and won’t be valid again.

I`m trying to activate ZBrush 4 for Mac several times with web-activation, first time I gor an error, ZBrush Registration / Activation Website says :

Still trying!

I’m being a good boy and only clicking “Request Activation Key” once every 5 mins or so… but I’ve been at this for 30 mins now…

I wanna play! but it’s nearly bed time now! Wah!!! heh! Sound like my 4 year old son! LOL! :lol:

Followed steps for web activation. Not sure if the serial that I entered during web activation is the same that I am supposed to enter when I open ZBrush. Am I supposed to recieve another E-mail with an activation code???

i got the cleverbridge serial number and using that i was able to get an activation code but the code doesn’t work. tried again, got a different activation code and IT didn’t work. Pixologic emailed me two different activation codes and NEITHER of them works. what now?
