Hi guys. First Post! The forum has been a great resource for me for a long time, thanks!
I am running into an issue when trying to set up a custom UI. I have searched around a lot through the forums, and found several people having similar issues, but the fixes never seem to fix my case. (I am fairly new to ZBrush, so bear with me on anything that seems simple I may have overlooked)
Question #1: I have been setting up a Custom UI, based on things I use frequently. I placed activate Symmetry below the main window. Here is a screenshot of my current UI:

My issue is that every so often, for reasons I haven’t been able to isolate, sometimes this activate Symmetry element of the UI will dissappear. It will go away, and not come back, even when returning to a mesh subtool that I was using it on previously. (I understand how certain UI elements can dissappear when that functionality isn’t available with your current selection. This seems more of a global thing that happens within Zbrush.)
I have tried downloading the plug-in found on the bottom of the FAQ page regarding custom UI stuff, but that didn’t work.
That’s where I am at.
question #2: When I store my config, then save my UI, it looks like there are multiple places that it tries to save out my .cfg file sometimes. Sometimes it will be in the documents, Zbrush folder structure, sometimes it will try and save it from the folder structure I have recently imported OBJ’s from. I am in the habit of saving everything related to UI in the program Files, …, Zstartup folder, as that seems to be the main place to save it. My question is what issues could I run into by having a lot of these .cfg files floating around? Do they ever “interfere” with each other. Since both documents, Zstartup and the program files, Zstartup have these .cfg files, which one does Zbrush default to when it opens?
Question #3: totally off topic, is there a way to change the “speed” at which the [ and ] hotkeys cycle through brush sizes when held down?
Thanks a million for any help with any of this.
