Lord of the Rings got MUCHO awards.
I say Zbrush had a lot to do wth it.
you beat me to it! – cool that WETA was mentioned a few times – especially since Dave Skycastle had posted a few things on here – made the technical awards more interesting this year, it did! 
so now I’m thinking, Pixologic has been biding their time, sending their new baby to finishing school until after the Oscars, so they can say “ZBrush – used on ROTK”

Funny though, i bet that’s the most exercise Peter Jacksons ever done collecting those awards…
Anyway, what was Jackson’s involvement with LOTR? Someone told me he was the director? Surely not?
The only thing i’ve seen him direct successfully is his car through a Mcdonalds drive thru…

When I said “Zbrush had a lot to do wth it.”, I was sort of kidding around. But now that I really think about it, Weta has been beta testing ZBrush for LOTR. So there it is.
