About ZScripting Help Category, is it a dead forum?

Hi, sorry if this the wrong place to put this question, but I wrote a couple of questions several days ago in “ZScripting Help” Category, with no answers, but also I noticed that almost all new questions (several days, weeks, or more) from diverse people asking there, don’t have any answers, so my question: is “ZScripting Help” Category a dead forum? If so, do I need to get a ticket at pixologic support for simple questions, such as license terms of zfileutils files?
Best Regards

Hi @DIGIMIND ,

The ZScripting forum is a community resource for users of ZBrush to discuss the subject with other users. It is not an official channel for program instruction.

Technical Support is for registered users with technical problems with their ZBrush installation, or the reporting of other bugs or technical issues. It is likewise not an educational or instructional resource. Generally usage questions received there are referred back to the documentation or community resources.

Previously there were some company employees who took it on themselves to assist users with ZScript in that forum, much the way I do here, but those employees have since retired.

If nobody else there is able or willing to answer your questions, the only official resource I can refer you to is the product documentation.

Thank you!

Hi, thank you for your answer and your suggestions.
The official documentation was my first choice of course. I have been read every single link related with zscripting (there are not too much to be honest). Another way to answer my own questions is by making some tests, and I am able to answer most of them in this way, but not all.
The problem with the official documentation is that it is not comprehensive, and it has a lot of gaps, some bigger, some smaller. So, one has to resort to other resources, such as the zbrushcentral forum for instances. Then I found that nobody is answering questions there, in this way one gets stuck, and then you tell me that pixologic support will not answer that questions (I am a registered zbrush user), I am a little bit disappointed because one expects a decent support for simple problems (questions) like this, and even more if we take into account that zbrush is not specially a cheap product.
I can understand that the official documentation is not comprehensive, not all companies give that kind of documentation.
I can understand that the guys that were working for pixologic answering questions are retired, pixologic is saving some bucks in this way.
But there is something that I don’t understand, time ago there were a lot of answered questions in zbrushcentral and somebody took the decision of deleting many of these answered questions without putting any replacement for that.
Anyway…
