Hi,

I have been using ZBrush for a while, but today I’m having a trouble when I try to open Zbrush.

A box appears and says “Recovered file(s) stored in the “Recovered Files” directory and will be avaliable to you when you relaunch ZBrush.”

Every time I try to open it this message appear and the program doesnt start.

Any help?

You must be selecting a file for it to open through Explorer or Finder??? Sounds like a corrupt file. How large is it? .ZPR file, my guess, as you didn’t say.
You should be able to launch ZBrush from the program menu?

Hi Doug Jones, Thanks for the reply,

I can’t start the program when I click to the .exe or if I click on some .ZPR files.

The file that is in the recovered files folder has only 12kb, I have tried to delete it, and the whole folder but the problem persists.

I have already reinstalled the program deleting de pixologic folder but nothing happens.

It’s weird because this morning was working fine and when I start the program again it crash

I think that, as you have said, there is some corrupting files but I don’t know where.

The program works if I execute it in a sandbox (I use the comodore firewall sandbox) and there works but obviously I can’t save my documents… :S

Any suggestion?

There is someone who had the same error. but I cant find the reply (if it exists).

There is a way to delete the zbrush from the reg??

Did you press Alt as was suggested in the first link I referenced? You may have to contact support.

Yes I tried but the problem is that the program doesnt starts so when I press ALT I’m in the desktop :cry:

So I need to send a report, ok, I will if they send me the solution I’ll post it.

Meanwhile, if someone has an idea I’ll try it too.

Hi,

Finally I made it work.

Steps:

1- Unistall Zbrush

2- Use CCleaner to repair the reg (make a backup)

3- Reinstall Zbrush

It should work
