Here's an image featuring the lead character from my film for the grad catalogue and web catalogue that my school is putting together Hope u like it and any crits are always welcome will hopefully get to post more as the film progresses Thanks

For me it’s fantastic! He has a Really cool Toon Look! Bravo zindrome!

Only one thing… In my opinion this already cool stuff maybe well if you set the face of the man for example white (and gray for the shadow…)…
He should become more visible and “contrasted”…

Obvious, only my 2 cents…

If it’s a promo shot I would do something more with perspective, frame him a little better and maybe have the “camera” looking up at him. And it would be neat if his face was actually darker, almost going for the glowing eyes look. That being said the model is spledid.

i was also going to mention that it looks very much like the gears of war 2 trailer’s style.
not sure if it was intentional or if it is just coincedence

thanks for sharing that
my film is entirely black and white … going for the renaissance look
but there are moments when i thought the red would highlight emotions and made for a more dramatic promo
but you’re right, that looks just like that trailer you posted
perhaps is should just stick with a black and white promo shot?

thanks everyone for your comments, i will work on getting a more dramatic angle for the shot tonight but here's what the character looks like normally base model was done in xsi, detailed in zbrush, rendered in XSI with mental ray with a toon shader and an ink lens shader [attach=85285]bw_cat_old.jpg[/attach]

I am really digging this art style. The last pic with the textured background really works for it. Epic must have been peeking at you from across the… room. :wink:
