A4 Wacom Tablet for 19" LCD?

I’m finally going to buy a graphics tablet and I know the Wacom ones are considered the best but I’m slightly confused about what size to get.

I have a Viewsonic 19" standard aspect monitor and a decent 32" 1080p Sony TV, I’m still not sure which one I will be using the most but I would think my monitor.

I was thinking the following A4 tablet should cover all possibilities but I’ve got no experience with these things so any advice would be great

the size of your tablet has almost nothing to do with the size of your monitor… your tablet should represent the way you currently draw.

for example, when you draw, if you take a series of very short strokes to make a larger line- a 4x6 tablet might be a good size. If you’re a classical painter used to making very large strokes on a 48" canvas, the large tablets are more appropriate.

Completely agree with that, I had the luck to test out several sizes of wacom tablets at work and decided on a 4x6(A5), cause I tend to draw in short strokes, with an A4 I felt I had to use too much movement and ended up remapping the usable area anyway.
