I got 5 images rejected again by www.raph.com. I cannot seem to get any images accepted. Has anyone here got any images in there? I know Pixolator has had his accepted.
I see that LeDiscot is there with his Cop. I can’t believe that they reject your work, though! As good as those works are, yours are every bit as good as the majority of what I’ve seen in the few minutes that I’ve been browsing. IMHO
I took a quick look to Southern. Can’t understand why they would reject you. Makes no sense. You insult the owner’s wife or something? ~G~ Kidding. They have to have changed their standards recently or something. And you’re above it.
Odd. Very odd. 
Now that I relook at everything, I wonder if it isn’t the “look” of your work.
For example (since it was brought up) Le Discot’s cop has lighting that creates a true 3D “object” look to it. It looks animateable.
Your work has a very painterly finished look. More of an artistic flair, less of that purist 3D animated character feel.
This of course is a weak excuse, and I’m really just trying to find that “reason”. Cause it really doesn’t make any sense.
Not a problem really. I was pissed at them because a while back they Emailed me and ASKED me to submit my work there!!! Then they go reject it. It`s elitist sites like that, that stopped me posting my stuff years back.
I see most stuff is highend application stuff (Maya, 3DS,Lightwave) so I suppose the judges want to see more of the same. I am seriously thinking of how to get hold of a licence for Lightwave.

I submitted two pieces today. I’m NO WHERE near as Z as you, but I was hoping to be able to get a dialoque going. When they say, “No, you suck.” I can ask why.
I did extensive surfing through the gallery. They do seem to be Lightwave heavy.
A closed mind is a terrible thing to…endure. 
It’s strange. They should accept your works South. It proves that raph.com is NOT good enough… as digital art gallery. It proves that they judge the works from owners point of view only!
I’ll post some of my works today. I want to see what happens and then talk about it like Kathy. I’ll share my raphxperiments 
There’s one more thing that I wanted to share…
There are lots of digital artists out there which they don’t know what ZBrush is… And even much more audience… Some of them don’t take ZBrush art as digital art because they don’t know what it is. This is an interesting point. Did you ever check the hits of ZBrush gallery images on Renderosity? Did you ever compare it with 3ds Max or Poser gallery hits?
If they are indeed Lightwave and high end app oriented, then I personally find it ironic that they happen to have a ZBrush forum. Not that it gets any use (two threads, the last being started in August). But they do have it, which you would think means that they are open to ZBrush work.

This is all about user interface I think. When I tried ZBrush for the first time, 1 and half month ago, I was amazed!!! But the interface caused to feel like I’m stupid.
I didn’t know where to look! I’ve searched standart menu commands but no luck. Lots of drawers… Confused me.

yup, dob, same here. i saw Z about 1 year ago, played for a while and didnt understand the concept, always smearing blobs of color in 2.5d mode, which made me think wow, this is a cool blobs-of-color-smearing-app.
but what do you call someone again, who claims cooked food to be bad, because he doesnt know how to light a fire?
i agree, maybe it’s all because of the first impression and not finding out, how the 3d stuff works, maybe because the results don’t look like what you get from lightwave and such, i do personally prefer to call that style.

dang I cant believe they didnt find your work suitable for that site…I found that site a long time ago and went thru the whole thing…some of the older postings if I remember right looked a bit on the newbie side…so maybe they are Zracists there? Coz your work is incredible. I am not knocking all the other artists there, coz that is what got me originally interested in taking up digital graphics. I was so glad to see Pix’s stuff there even before I knew he was Zbrush…I had seen his images around the net and was always in awe as I am in awe of your stuff…well you know you have a whole site here that supports and admires your work…You seem down to earth and approachable here in the forums and I appreciate you for that…so many ppl are tight lipped about how to do stuff …maybe they are afraid of job security? who knows…anyways…that was my heartfelt ramblings…had to re edit this…coz I just remembered…I think Adam Bauder got his pics on raph.com, right? the self portrait and Angenlina Jolie caricature? I may be wrong but I thought I remembered seeing it posted there ?
