ZBrushCentral

A short introduction...

Greetings fellow zbrushers <bows humbly in front of all the great artists>

Been browsing this forum for quite some time admiring all the great work being made by Zbrush users from all over the world. Well I am now the proud owner of a copy of Zbrush 3.1 and can´t wait to learn it´s inner workings.

First thing I did was to buy Meats Meiers “Introduction to Zbrush” and what a great tutor he is! I´m one of those people that prefer to learn programs buy using em not spending days reading the manual so seeing someone working in real time really help a newbie as me.

I have no artistic background and what I know about painting/modeling is self-taught with the aid of online tutorials, books etc. I have a stack of books containing everything from anatomy, animation, modeling to manga. I´ve tried out programs like 3DS Max, Maya and Animation Master but none (well Animation Master perhaps) has taken me that far when it comes to modeling. Problem probably being that those programs have too many different functions and one easily drown in all their options… Zbrush seems to be my kind of program and I love the program interface and it´s functions.

I live in Gothenburg / Sweden (so please forgive my english grammar) working as a self employed art director in a small design agency (3 of us). Have a lovely girlfriend and a 3 year old daughter. Work and family takes up a lot of time so not much free time for my passion for CGI but I do manage to get a couple of hours every night in front of the PC. Will focus on learning Zbrush and really looking forward posting my first image (when I feel brave enough) on Zbrush Central.

Take care all and keep up the good work!

Best of luck then!

 Cheers
