A part of my fibermesh is not rendering using bpr...help please :)

Hello all,

Need some assistance. I’ve created a beard using fibermesh which is consisted of several subtools. One of which is visible in my document but not when I render it. Any ideas of what my be happening here?

I’m using Zbrush’s bpr to render.

Don’t know if this is of any significance but the same fibermesh subtool isn’t visible in my Subtool palette!?

Do you have the P3 patch?

@Gurjit:
I cant see the screenshot all that well (infact its too small to read anything) but if you could remake it with the settings you used to make the fibermesh in the first place visible I might be able to figure out what’s up.

In the mean time, try subdividing the subtool, if that doesn’t work, try using inflate in the Deformation pallet before and after subdividing. Its possible that your fibers are thin to the point of invisibility.

@Doug:
I have to ask you:
Why do you do this?

I couldn’t read it either. Was my point not valid?

You didn’t make a point, valid or otherwise.
You asked him an unrelated question. What has the p3 patch got to do with the size of his screenshot? Far more importantly, what has it got to do with the vanishing of one subtool?
The chance that one of his tools could suddenly become hard to see because of a patch that doesn’t affect fibermesh.
This brings me back to my question:
WHY do you do that?

@ MealeaYing> Wouldn’t you agree that having the latest patch is a good idea?
I haven’t seen a response from the original poster yet to confirm either way or for them to update their situation if they followed your recommendations and instructions. Cheers

Put simply Doug, no, I think it’s irelevent to the question at hand, if it were relevant that would be different.
