Hello Z-brushers!!!

There it is!!! This is my first picture in Z-brush, and i want you to know if there is things who doesn’t work on my little friendly monkey… OK he’s under construction, but i need time to finish him!

I have some little questions to ask too! Can you answer me please?:
-How can i do an impression of distance length if i want to make a background?
-And then, how can i do to make a flat, down to my monkey for shadow?

(please excuse me for the brutality of my english, i need to practicing it more…)

in the render panel, there is a fog and depth cue button. Open the render panel completly and play with the settings there.

If you open completly the light panel, and you open shadow , there is plenty of other settings there too (such as shadow length, strength… you need z shadows on)

a cool tip too is to hold ctrl key over buttons, it will tell you what they do

in addition to Sarums tips re: shadow you might want to have a look at Pixolators Rusted Golden Idol Script to get an idea about how to do drop shadow. if you decide to go for a 2.5D or 3D background do not forget to use stencil-wrap-mode for better effect! :wink:
