A digital sculpt

Hi folks. Just finished this one.
Sculpted out of spheres in ZBrush.

Had some hiccups, as I’d not taken enough z-spheres in the initial stage (this being my first z-sphere tryout)

Have a look.

UPDATED IMAGE: (lower body proportion changed)

Thanks for viewing.

Totally amazing how you cant even see your mistakes when kicking ass that much.

Very good work for a first time with zspheres. Watch the proportions, though. He seems to have a very short torso, and a pretty large buttocks.
I’m not sure what he’s exerting, but, I’m not going to stand too close to that buttocks.

looking good
might want to look at the fingers

lol…thanks for those ‘ass-is-where-is’ comments…overlooked that major flaw.
I’ve made the changes and updated the above image.

Webhead, I guess even the title needs a change now

royMunson, you’re spot on…the fingers and toes are the areas where I hadn’t added any spheres. The entire hand and feet are single z-spheres…so no major detailing there.
Just kept it like that for now…guess will have to pay more attention next time.

anywayz, here’s the hand image

I would suggest to use images of a similiar pose to your character. It seems to me that a lot of your muscle groups are not quite there. I would highly suggest to look at works from zack petroc and scott eaton for a better understanding of anatomy.

Thanks for your suggestions, Shadowscheme.
I’ve updated the sculpt a bit.

Yeah, I have a long way to go at getting good at anatomical forms.

Will study the masters’ work for sure.

Thanks again

I like the detail, not to sound crude, but his balls are in front of his legs. Last time I checked, they hung between.

the legs are still pretty short, and some more work needs to be done on the wrists and getting the right geometry for the barrel of the torso.

This guy has some great refs and tuts. take a look (look down the page a bit for the refs)
