This piece represents my interpretation of a Burmese Naga, a mythical guardian serpent deeply rooted in Southeast Asian legend.
My goal was to blend ancient cultural symbolism with cinematic realism, creating a creature that feels both divine and intimidating.
The sculpt was created entirely in ZBrush, focusing on anatomical flow and armor-like scaling inspired by traditional Burmese temple carvings.
I used Substance Painter for texture work — We chose a bronze hue to suggest ancient armor rather than modern metal. layering aged metal, weathered stone, and subtle patina to emphasize age and power.
The final rendering was done in Blender Cycles, with a warm, desert-inspired lighting setup to evoke a sacred yet hostile environment. Huge thanks to Director Aung Myo Min for the trust, support, and feedback that helped refine the look and final renders. Thanks for the support, I hope you like it!
