4r7 Curve Mode is not working

Hello, I have to post here because I have not seen this issue being addressed anywhere on the internet. Curve mode works perfectly fine for me in 4r6, but in 4r7 it doesn’t work at all.

For example, I would be using a standard brush trying to add details on a model. I want to have a clean and smooth stroke so I turn on curve mode in the stroke palette to draw out a curve for the standard brush to apply. When I click on the drawn curve…nothing. The curve just stays on the surface and the brush does not get apply to the curve. This is the same for every other brushes, even the curve brushes in the preset folders don’t work. Help :frowning:

ps: the curve tubes brushes work fine. I don’t know why it is just the brush strokes are not working with curves.

This issues have been reported already. The guys at Pixologic are taking care of it. Let’s hope the new patch will fix all of the complains.

I think I’m having the same issue. I’m trying to use the standard brush with curve mode and drag dot stroke. It worked just fine in 4R6, but it seems it’s no longer working in R7. This video shows what I’m talking about:

Could it be that it’s an issue with Zbrush that will be fixed with a patch? or something changed in the new version and this procedure is achieved differently now?

Yea the issue is reported already, they are going to fix it in the patch soon. I was ready to pull my hair out looking at all the brush settings and stroke settings lol

Yeah, I was going to do the same. Let’s hope they’ll fix it soon, among some other things.

They’re hoping to release a patch by the end of this month. Hopefully they get a lot of the bugs worked out.
