My link from my email to the download link at cleverbridge is no longer valid due to the fact that I lost connections through too many attempts? I then called Cleverbridge twice and got the run-around and the were clueless and told me to contact Pixologic, so I sent a ticket to support. Has anybody else had this problem?

A couple people have reported this issue.
Cleverbridge will be able to start assisting with these kinds of questions starting Wednesday. However, I think that there’s simply a timer. Too many attempts in a short period kicks it in and then there’s a delay before you can try again.
If you do continue to have trouble, submit a Support ticket and be sure to include your upgrade link. We’ll either be able to assist directly or will forward it to Cleverbridge to handle from their end, depending on what the issue is.
