Hi.
What is the best way to set export dimensions in the 3D Hub?
I have a flat plaque I would like to be 6" wide. The other dimensions should scale in proportion. After I choose ‘inches’ and set the width (X) to 6 and enter, all dimensions show ‘6’ (XYZ - 6,6,6). No proportional scaling. So far, the only way I’ve found to approximate my export dimension is to press the ‘Update Size Ratios’ button, check the default (which is always huge)and then ‘guess’ by dragging the Scale manipulator and checking back-and-forth with the ‘Update Size Ratios’ info until I’m close to 6". Now, the XYZ dimension displays proportionately.
This works, but seems needlessly labor intensive. Also, the data won’t save and has to be redone each time the file is opened for editing.
I have tried exporting through the GoZ but can’t find the file’s location after export. So, looking for the best way to export with a specific width from ZBrush to Maya.
Thanks!
