3d Artist / Sculpture; Lost World Returns

Dear talented artists.

The Zbrush forum is oozing with talent, so it would be very wrong to present this opportunity to anyone who might be interested.

I currently run a small development team of about fourteen individuals, based all over the world. We are creating and showcasing our work for the fabulous game engine “Cryengine2”, developed by crytek.
With a dream and ambition to develop our ideas in the future and ultimately make a start in game development (one can dream right?)

We are developing something rather unique and exciting for the engine, and we are looking to expand the team in the 3d sculpting area.
We make dinosaurs for games, as well as other things of course. We all love dinosaurs and we wanted to bring back something that had been missing since 1997, with the memorable game “trespasser”. With today’s technology it’s never been better to jump right back into this market, and we hope it will be successful.

We are looking for someone with the same passion to join the team and sculpt 3d details, and then for them to be applied as a normal map on a lower poly mesh.

We already have a large collection of lower poly dinosaurs ready to be textured and rigged. Unfortunately it’s a slow process hence why I am posting this message. To see if anyone would be interested, and up for the challenge. This would also benefit your in portfolio work.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer any paid work, as we are not in a position to do so, we can only offer you experience and to be part of a great global team and project.

We have one Zbrush user currently and I would like to take some of the pressure off him.

Here is an example of our tyrannosaurs rex.

I hope the message wasn’t too long, but it’s always good to get a good incite to who is posting all this nonsense.

I really look forward to hearing from anyone, and more details can be given if required.

Many thanks

Nick Gregory

I suggest you to release a couple of the the lowpoly models you mentioned and have people play around with them. People might come up with good looking results and will probably agree to have you use their textures/high poly displacements with no strings attached. Thats just my idea, since I feel that I could not dedicate myself completely to your project, neither do I expect my level of experience to match up with your expectations. Many people will probably feel the same!
Also I suggest that you change the name of your project so that you do not use any established trademarks. That way you’d retain absolutely all rights to your work and could not possibly face any legal threats.
That T-Rex looks great however, I’d love to see it ingame.
