32 bit .exr displacement file doesn't appear in the folder

Hello,
I have just tried to export a 32-bit .exr displacement map via multi-map exporter. At the end of the process, it says “all maps are created in x seconds” but every time I open the folder where I saved the .exr file for some reason nothing appears and the folder is empty. my settings are as shown on the image below:

any help is appreciated

What version of ZBrush are you using? It will say at the top left of the interface and it should say 4R7 P3. And what version of the Multi Map Exporter plugin? You can find the MME version by holding down Alt while the cursor is over the Create All Maps button - the version number will be in orange with the date.

Thanks,

Hello Marcus, I’m using 4r7 p3 version of Zbrush. The version of Multimap exporter is 4r7 02B

I have that version installed and I don’t have a problem - all maps are exported as expected. So I’m at a loss as to know what to suggest. You could try exporting to a location such as your Desktop, in case it’s a permission error or similar.

I tried exporting to desktop as well but with no luck. I recently changed my username to something with two non-english characters. That one caused me a problem in the past with maya batch rendering. I am assuming changing it back to a username with english characters could somehow bring me a solution. So I am going to try that right now.

Hello ,

I SOLVED IT!

Marcus thank you for your help. I am going to write here how I solved the problem in case anybody in the future running into the same problem will perhaps provide himself/herself a help.
my windows username was written in non english characters. Changing it into a username with smallcase letters with english characters solved the issue.

Great that you have solved the problem, and thanks for posting your solution. Very useful. :+1:
