3 hour sketchbook

I’m starting this as a 3 hour sketchbook… nothing that I post here has taken me more then 3 hours… (I decided to do this… as I have a really bad tendency to be a perfectionist)

my first one was originally from a tut on gnomen called rock alpha… best 12 dollars I spent in a while LOL Link

if u have any ideas on what I should do next… leme know

great environment! Very inspirational:)

Great piece Altermind, love all the little buildings and details. How did you go about making them? Did you have a selection of ‘building blocks’ which you just fitted together?

thanks Stephenrminkin
Lloiger. naw… I just made them for this piece

Hi Altermind! It is always nice to see Zbrush being used for differet kinds of projects.Gr8 work. This model looks like a quaint mining town in some remote area. How many sub objects are in there?

Hi my friend  Scott from DA lol. Awesome modeling and sculpting…even the tiniest detail is stupendous! The only thing lacking now is a little color and a great atmosphere… I am not sure why, probably from the LOTR movies - but I cannot help but think of the mountainous regions of new Zealand when I look at this

Well done buddy!

My second sketch that I’ll be posting… did another one yesterday… but it’s not worth insulting your eyes with it LOL
This scene took 3 hours and 5 mins >.< I do apologise for the lack of detail.
Still need ideas for next one.

i really like both projects, the mushroom being tilted and slightly buried kind of bothers me, but overall i think u have a very powerful imagination---- dont stop at 3 hours lol take it to the end… altho if u get 3 hours into it and feel like u learned a lot from making it but that u dont like it n want to start anew then thats fine too

Oh wow - now I really like the Mushroom one - this is so precious!

konjo kothar vigna - I somewhat agree with you there… I decided to do it this way… once I had decided on the scale of the scene… shroomies are very fragile in nature… and I wanted them to sorta look like they were powerfully comming out of the ground. I don’t think I will continue with this one… might do another in this style one day… but… I’m a perfectionist… .and this is a test for me

wow!very like the mushrooms idea,i think that you should finish it work,withb textures & render. :+1: :+1:

Looking very Eldar Scrolls that Mushroom one. Very cool!

thats very inspiring work…thanks for sharing

Hmmmmm another one done… doing another tommorow =/
note so happy with this one… but… I suppose it’s passable for 3 hours work

And this was 2 hours? Nice!:+1:

I think the eyes are a bit far appart, but appart from that, great job!

Wish I could do that in 2 hours!

BTW, was that a single material in the image? Or did you multi pass render? If it was a single material, would you mind sharing?
