Since there is already a “Update 3.1 Great Job” Thread running, I thought it would be nice to set up a poll where you can show what you think of the update.
Happy voting.

Running it in VMware because of the lack of Mac support, it’s kind of clear that they didn’t test very well in their “Mac solution.”

Great idea, but waaaaay too many options (Ie. “very good” vs. “amazing” and “poor” vs. “very poor”), IMO.
Not really sure what the point of this poll would be (except if there was a large
amount of people posting that they hated it)?
Seems more helpful if Pixologic can see specific postings for problem areas
in the “Questions & Troubleshooting Forum”, and respond to those…
I mainly started the “Great Job, Pixologic!” thread to be a place to voice
support and appreciation for their effort, since a few threads were instantly
popping up voicing nags at specific items without offering any congratulatons,
or thankfulness for Pixologic’s hard work at bringing us yet another FREE
update.
Sadly, it got merged by a moderator with the Avan-AMS “3.1” thread and
has since devolved into a wide medly of congrats mixed with bugs, rants,
and general philosophies on how things should be fixed…
Anyhow, I think I’ll ‘vote’ with my buglists and workflow-issue questions in the
“Questions & Troubleshooting Forum”.
Cheers.

Well maybe some users hate the update but are too shy to post it. Or too lazy. Or they can’t read or write. However. Personally I was too lazy too to read through your thread and to filter out “goods” and “bads” so this gives me and maybe others a quick overview of what people think. Besides there might be some who hate the new brushes but love everything else and thus they’re asked to sum up the whole thing not only one bug.
If I’d voted when I first tried the update I’d have said amazing, but after the initial feeling of being overwhelmed with the new look, brushes etc, and spending some time fiddling about, I’ve gone right off it. There are to many weird things about it, and things seem to botch up in strange ways. I am very out of practice as far as Zbrush goes, but that doesn’t account for the way things go skewhiff for no apparent reason. I cannot be specific, it’s just random little buggy things really. I keep having to initilise Zbrush all the time to get it back to normal. It doesn’t seem so relaxing to use anymore either. It looks better, some things function better, others function ‘strangely’ compared to previously, but overall it kinda does my head in!
I’m probably going to go back to v3.0 until another update comes out.
Another point is, me being so out of practice, I bought several DVD’s that are done using the v3.0 interface, and if I’m to familiarise myself again, I don’t want such a radically different interface, although I do like the way it now looks.
