$250 Modeling Challenge Due 2/5

Phase 2 (Character Modeling) of the Short Project is due February 5th. If you can create the best 3d models of our characters you will have your work used in the completed animated short film ‘Pocket Change’ and will receive $250 cash, 3 Desktop Images training DVDs (both of my discs and third disc of you choice), a profile on the Short Project site, a place in the credits and a chance at winning a complete box copy of LightWave 9 with manuals.

Our character designs (below) were contributed by our Phase 1 winner Alex Wohlrab. Final submissions can be created in any package but must be importable into LightWave 3d (the main animation package for the Short Project ). Neet idea.

Wish I had the time as I have some new techniques that might work for you.

But for that work and return, I think I’ll leave it to all young ‘Hot Shoes’, who deserve a chance for some recognition.

I’ve seen about a dozen talented young people on this forum in the last year that could do a wonderful job for you. Pony up people… :wink:

Anyway, Phase 4 is moving along and there are some kick’n entries. So even if you’re not entering you should swing by and check them out!

Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t see anything on the site, the forum appears quite ‘empty’ for lack of a nicer word. So where are the submissions that you got me so excited about? :wink:

Well, you see, I’m an artist, not a forum moderator so when I put the forums together I made them a bit too complicated. You were probably looking in the wrong place. Under Current Phase go to Phase 4 WIP to see the current entrants work. Now, the Short Project site isn’t CGTalk or zBrush Central, but its pretty busy for a little project site! :smiley:
