2023 Scale in local symmetry mode

Hello, I’ve been unable to use local symmetry to scale subtools symmetrically (like eyes/ears) at their pivots using the gizmo in any project created with zbrush 2023, everything works fine in projects created with versions created before the maxon move, anyone know how to fix this or why it’s happening?

Idem… :confounded:

Help please

This could be the fault of the updated “dynamic Sym” that does symmetry from the axis of the gizmo. It’s an issue that I’ve also had on my end and posted about it on here, also sent a ticket. Maybe send one as well as this should be updated to have the dynamic feature as a toggleable option and not as a standard only option. Maybe more people need to bug them about this issue. I haven’t heard a peep about it from my support ticket, but maybe if enough people poke them about it they might make a statement at least.

Hello @c3dstuff,

This specific functionality was lost as an unintended consequence of the new Local Symmetry behavior that uses the Gizmo center for mesh symmetry. An upcoming patch to ZBrush 2023 should restore your ability to do this.
