Nice plug. A note to Mac users: the latest version is not necessarily the correct version! There is a Mac-friendly version in this thread.
It doesn’t work for me : (
Mac os 10.4.7 - Zbrush 2.03
If i press “k” outside Zsphere or in Zsphere outside the edit mode i become a message, but then if i go to Zsphere -> edit mode ad I press the “k” key doesn’t append anythink.
That’s terrible
Some suggestion ??
When my cursor is put on a Zsphere and press a “k” key append something new…

i cant seem to get this to work on my pc this is what i get once i press the k key? anyone know how to fix it please.
wolfie,
The zscript appears to have loaded correctly but the interface button images are missing. Check that you have downloaded them from the start of the thread and that, after unzipping, they are in the same folder as the ZSC file.
Cheers marcus the images were missing got it to work now thank you
Is there a way to undo the effects of this script?
Unfortunately no. It is a limitation of how this Zplugin was written. To undo changes you will have to select the zsphere(s) you modified and press 0 next to “XYZto”.
If it is critical I can write a quick script that resets all zsphere values. PM me if you need such a script.
Thanks alot keep em coming
OK, got your tool-script setup today. Absolutely loving it.
ZSphere modeling was getting pretty tedious prior to your script.
Thank you for devoting what must have been a great deal of your time to make it.
Hi, TVEyes.
I have been enjoying your script for some time now. Thanks for all the effort and sharing. Clearly a lot of work was involved. I was curious if you had developed it further, into an updated version? Also, what do you think of the utility ‘Moldy Tool 2’ ? Jason Welsh uses it in his ZSphere tutorials. Does that work well with your utility or are they basically two ways of getting the same thing?
Thanks!
~S.~
Thanks motolov, SmokeCatcher and SNARK. Glad you find it useful.
SNARK: Yes, I have a couple of new functions for a new version but it has been a while since I last worked on it. I guess most of my time has been spent promising new scripts, without delivering Without trying to sound like a broken record I do have an XYZadjust 3, among other scripts, close to release. So if you have any particular wishes let me know.
Moldy 2 is an excellent script that collects and accomplishes many things that would otherwise take multiple steps when modeling. I would not compare the two as they serve very different purposes. XYZadjust serves a very specific purpose while Moldy 2 is a general utility to use while modeling. But sure, you can easily use the two scripts in your workflow without problems.
Hi, TVEyes.
Is there anything special to know about loading your utility into Z3?
Thanks!
~S.~
Just tested xyz adjust in z3 and it works like a charm, i tell ya…
What kind of new features are you planning on including?
also… are there any problems that you’ve noticed with the current version (ex: w/ subtools, layers, etc.)?
This functionality should be a part of the core application!
@TVeyes:
Thank you for that script and I’m anxious to your announced “XYZadjust 3”!
Has anyone managed to get this to work with Zbrush 3.1?
Thnks
Mike R
It crashes here in 3.1 too.
Been trying to get this to work in 3.1, but no joy, the interface doesn’t even show up. I was using it in 2.0, but have only now had the opportunity to get back to Zshperes in 3.1 and find I can’t live without it. Any idea when you’ll be releasing it?
On another note, given just how handy this plugin and others like it are, why aren’t they implemented directly into ZBrush 3.1? It seems strange that such fundamental tools and functions should be so reliant on developers releasing and then constantly updating them. When they don’t get an opportunity, the whole app suffers!
Thanks again for your scripts to date TVeyes, personally I can’t wait for this one to come out.
d’oh! just saw this script in use and i arrive to find that it’s not updated… oh well, it did look coooooooool.
so que me up for the line waiting for the 3.1 compatible version.
