Your work is wonderful! Got me to thinking I need to make a bracelet for my Dad!(started working on the Marine symbol for him! He’s a mortar guy from the Vietnam war.) I love the output you are getting in that last one. Yeah, you can see a bit of the detail that is lost on that last piece but man, for the most part wonderful end result! Mostly I notice it around the cross on the sword…did it get buffed off in the final? Or just not there in the 3D grow? And the feathers lost detail BUT it does NOT take away from the wonderful end result. I would STILL buy it if I was the client!! For the most part isnt alot of that just figuring out the limits and having to make creative decisions to change the design? Totally mean that with all respect, I love the work you are doing. Inspiring!! Love it!
Thanks GrizzlyJake… I have had major positive response from all around the world, many wanting to buy, even if I don’t sell one this response is great… I have seen guys all shout they want but when it comes to paying they are all gone, yes the products are expensive but I believe in the near future the technology will become cheaper and so to the product…
Machine manufactures are killing the market with their prices, if guys like Form 1 could produces what they have at the prices they have, it shows that a few are trying to pocket on their machines but stupidly as they are kill the market they so tend to want to serve…
Details get lost with polishing to, as there is some fine stuff in there, once ZBrush gives us a thermal type mapping tool as Shapeways has, where you can set perimeters and see where your short falls are it will speed the process, at current one has to design, decimate, up load and then test… then back to ZBrush and fix via adding and bulging or what ever and the go through the whole process again… This one took me 7 runs before it passed, but we are all learning and lets look back in another years time I am sure this will be addressed.
Great to hear your Dad was a mortar man in Vietnam, our Vietnam was the war in Angola, we won hands on against a superior Cuban force but in the end lost to politics but look where things are currently going in South Africa, unless this is blocked from the media, a war is only won if it is to improve the standards of man kind… and never believe all you read. Tell your Dad I say HI, this as a fully qualified 81mm mortar instructor… Wars are crazy, but then mankind is going crazy…
Thanks for compliments…
Okay finally getting time to play with ZModeler and jip its fun… a logo design with hard edges and all…
Rendered in KeyShot with a touch of PS in the end…
ZModeler is cool but would rock if it had measuring capabilities…
The result is really nice

Just testing my newly acquired Keyshot 6 Pro on a WIP and this is going to be fun… Thanks Pixo and Keyshot…
Another test on a WIP with KeyShot 6 Pro… just don’t seem to get render to Queue to work and have addressed it with the guys at Luxion, but they seem to buy and rightfully so as I have come to love Keyshot… but still learning to use…
Dear Ziggy.
I am becoming a fan of your master pieces. What I love more are the great details on your work. Congratulations! I have noticed that most of your work is based on “bas-relief” technique… I would like to know if you can share how do you make this flat pieces without loosing 3D effect… I am very new with Zbrush, and I am loving this tool. Do you have any video showing how do you make these “Bas-relief” pieces? Most of my pieces are real 3D volume, but as you know, when doing the rubber molds I face a lot of troubles…
I thank you in advance and once again, thank you very much for showing us your work.
Hi There…
Will get back to you soon… just been a very busy festive season…
Pictures of two 3D Prints before and after primer was applied… now over to rubber molds and the cold cast bronze…
cool work!!
I started trying Fusion 360 a month and a bit ago… here is a fun project using it in a hard surface model then of course a little help from my all time best ZBrush and the render in KeyShot…
A feature I really for is their history timeline… you don’t loose any work on it… very useful…
Used Fusion 360 for buckle base and the rest ZBrush then over to KeyShot. This a suggested product for client.
A 3D print friend challenged me to compete… should have started earlier, but here my entry and took many hours due to the limited time space and panic, model has to be print ready, so I decide on a one piece hollowed out to be printed on Form 2. One learns when under pressure… you can download my model at a small fee to test…
My concept based on a comic book image i remember as a kid, the T-shirts the sold on the closing page of these magazines…
Here are a few images, take note only 3 hours sleep in 48 hours… what keeps us going? ZBrush!
Keyshot final render in oxidized metal… followed by a few ZBrush quicl renders…
