I agree. You can not let this project die. This is one of the most amazing things I have seen! I have not been into comics in a long time (although I am a published comic author) but I would buy this in a heart beat!!
Keep doing it. Don’t stop for anything or anyone!
I shall become your padawan, Master.
Very cool. 5-stars thread for sure.
Awesome! Incredible works and very interesting comics rendering! I’ll try those matcap on my model! Thanx for sharing.
Cool!!!
Exceptional work. A lot of people have at the very least brought this up on the forums here over the years. A few have even gone the extra mile and started, and even fewer followed through.
However your proving a point made long, long ago her in ZBC and that it is totally possible and with a little thought really attractive.
Congratulations.
I will buy the comic/graphic novel/etc. when done. If you’ll sign it, let me know. And it will be added to the collection of memorable moments in time that I have been keeping for decades.
This does bring back memories of our eternal thread, maybe its time to see what people can do now…
this is awesome! love your style!
Wow! cool 3d comic, very inspiring using 3d and 2d to make comic. Good luck and i hope you can publish it, can’t wait to read it.
incredible.
talent…
very inspiring stuff im really excited to see where this goes…
you’ve made me want to create my own zbrush/PS comic
great job on the front row!
I really like the look of your sculpts and your render passes! Way to push what is possible with ZB!
Peace,
NickZ.
Thanks again for sharing your technique. Really inspired my team and I.
How are you posing all of your characters? Zspheres? External Program?
Awesome!!!
@DAnconia: hi, well the posing is done completely in zbrush with tranpose master. It is kind of tough at first but once you get your techniques things go fast.
you might wanna check out this page for a more recent posing:
Very nice! I have been pimping your thread out to everyone over here, facebook, deviantArt and anyone else I can tell! I might try to pose them in Zbrush too. The only thing I am not looking forward to is resculpting everything after its posed lol.
Keep sharing man! It helps a whole lot.
thx a lot man

I have another quick question. I don’t wanna seem like all I’m doing is asking questions but your work is pretty inspiring. On your layer set ups in Photoshop, do you have the cutout layer affect the original color layer at all?
Here’s what I think I understand so far:
layer 1: Ink shader combined with Toon_Jasonh (rendered) with multiply
layer 2: outline with color dodge
layer 3: comic-bilal0203 (rendered?) with overlay
layer 4: color layer with cutout filter
layer 5: color layer.
And then you draw in extra details in photoshop.
