Phwoar. Thanks alot! =D
*mumbles something over duke nukem
^Ok you beat me. But I no longer consider DNF to be an existing game. THAT is vapourware.
Though I’ve been wrong before, such as for Prey and it’s 10 year development period or something.
uage :)this question was probably asked before but couldn’t dare readd 40 page of posts…it’s concerning that (fantastic) mesh projection tool…can you actually use a mesh made in another program (maya etc…) as long as it fits concept model otr does it has to be entirely done in zbrush…im asking that cause you’ll tend to create your animation model in your usual package and test your rigging /animation and save the arse of going basck an forward all the time?
.
Another question…do you know if there is texture projection on the new zbrush? that would be fantastic!if you add the zmapper fonctionnality to that, all high rez information could be transfered directly in zbrush (normals, bumps, color, spec etc…)…saving lots of time and pain now that this mesh projection exist
Arse?
and theres me thinking we got another video lol.
With all this tomfoolery about mesh projection and real time sculpting, I was wondering if there would be the normal projection master still available? Because I liked it and it’s ability to sculpt ultra high detail stuff without any computer slowdown! Is it still there, or is it replaced by that new one where you can rotate the mesh still? That would be pretty bad, unless of course someone confirms that the new method is just as fast as projection master. Which of course, is probably computationally ridiculous/impossible
Projection Master is still a very useful tool for, say, using the Deco brush or the Roller brush or to use the technique for projecting photoreference as in this movie here. So, yes. It is in the next ZBrush as well.

wow… Wow… WOW!!!
I can’t wait for version 2.5… ZBrush rules!!!
Great work, Pixolator!!!
Ryan can you tell me if the projection master has be improoved such as, bad deformation spikes apearing on the mesh when picking your mesh up after deforming in projection master. Or has deformng in projection master been removed because we can now use alphas in full 3d?
Id still like to know if theres a proper perspective view, not sure if iv missed it being comfirmed some where.
is there a data for 2.5 yet?
If there was a date it would be hard not to see it as it will be huge thing with a big announcement. Beleave me when there is a date your not miss it.
wasent there a rode map? like a year ego?
And hell will have frozen over…
Yes infact a bit longer than a year ago. Pixologic aint going to start giving dates like last time as they most likly dont know for sure either. When they are 100% sure then we will know, untill then your most likly have a fair bit of time mastering zbrush 2.0 and all the plugins and maybe learn a few apps in between.
Nobody can say and I speculate it aint going to be within 2006.
Only thing that I have noticed in the past few days is the book publishing date has been put back to 29th December. So who knows. We will just have to wait and see.
Cheers
Mike R
I dont think its worth anyone asking again about the date untill 2007. We have all seen what exelent work that can be achived in version 2.0 so our biggest gift would be to be at a skill level of the top row material. Theres so much to learn and improove on and thats where my focus is.
It doesnt mater when it comes out really ! just as long as it does this zbrush 2.5 is an extreme program far beyond my expections of 3d it is geeting to a point that the technical people will be lower in the charts and the more creative person will stand out, there is not any program out there that can go against zbrush in modeling no way no how! can’t wait for zb 2.5 it soundslike it will rock !!!
It matters to me… im waiting to use it on my intel mac
I reckon the book’s release date is the best indicator of Zbrush 2.5’s approximate release date. I never realised the book was delayed again, thanks for pointing it out. Wondering if I should cancel my order
