Zbrush HAS to be the most feature rich 3D app ever. Iāve barely been able to grok the updates prior to 4r4. I fell asleep on Saturday watching the new tutorials. I made it through only a few. Overwhelming but in the best way.
MuliMesh brushes are beyond belief. Truly mind-blowing possibilities.

Wonderful, just greatā¦ Now I am going to spend all my waking hours playing with Zbrush again. Goodbye friends, so long family and loved ones. Shoo cats. Sorry ol mountain bikeā¦ Iām diving back in to try to master some more completely mesmerizing, useful and amazing tools. Thanks a lot, Pixologic. You have now enabled my hermit side once again. 
On a side note, itās amazing how quickly Zbrush has completely replaced clay as my favorite maquette building tool. I just skip sketching and start right in with Dynamesh. I think more fine artists should be trained with this as a way to develop ideas quickly.

just tried redoing the tri IMM tutorial of plug + wires works like a charm ! nice idea to do chains tentacles and more ! also i love how you can do real bevels and insets

apparently, some of you didnāt noticed there is a zbrush 4r4 p2 right now, it was for some minor fix also, i was wondering what is the p1 as fix ? ^^;
I am purchasing zbrush4 for my son. What are the hard drive requirements in order for it to work properly.
The install takes roughly 1GB on the hard disk. While running it needs a little space for temporal files. So in general ZBrush has very low hard disk requirements. More important is to have at least 4GB of RAM and fast cpu.

On a prior release it was mentioned that version 5 will be 64 bit. Also 64 bit allows you to use all possible RAM now. I thought that might be helpful also.
In my opinion, ZBrush is the greatest software, but this version is extremely powerful 4r4, in particular, to join I would like to particularly want to have topological features.Really good, but I hope that the follow-up version of ZBrush and then to achieve, in the topology, you can control the topology of the point of the line, and can point to generate a surface model, like 3d coat, max topology model.

Really cool update. Now, just hoping for PTEX support (http://ptex.us). Mudbox and 3D-Coat already got it. Would be nice to skip the whole UV-ing part all together and just sculpt, paint, retop, export, animate!

but unfortunately goz (from zbrush to maya 2010) is not working after the new installation.
what have i to do, for reinstall goz again?

Thank you very much for this extremely cool release, just watching through the release videos with my jaw dropped down. What lovely inspirational features. I see so much cool stuff in there :o and you really took it three levels ahead of everything else I havent had that much fun with a software release since ages (for various reasons). All the best!
