Your technique is masterful. Quick questions. Your colorations are great. Are you painting these in ZBrush, or are you painting them somewhere else.
One more if I may, as I work in Dynamesh, it seems to me that 128 setting is not dense enough. Have you found a sweet spot for setting a good
number for Dynamesh?
Extremely impressive piece. I love the subtle coloring and the painterly feel of the renders too. Great workflow vids small_orange_diamond
Amazing. If I had a cap on I’d duff it, so the imaginary one I’m wearing will have to do.small_orange_diamond
branduarte- Thanks branduarte! np!
MealeaYing- Thank you MealeaYing! Clad to know this helped you out.
ArtBot- Thank you Artbot! Everything is 100% zbrush… well I did add the boarder and converted the psd to a jpeg in PS (full disclosure). With this character I started out with the 128 then when I found that dyna mesh lost some of the detail I started upping the resolution. I ended up with 256 for the body.
Etcher- Thank you Etcher! I appreciate all the videos and tutorials you have shared on zbc!
kaisasose- Thanks kaisasose!
Really a nice render, and an awesome composition for the sisters. Is it the thing from forgotten kingdoms, D&D ?
The TimeLapse vids are really great and educational! Than you for sharing! Learned a lot from watching them!
Awesome work! Thanks for the video. Very inspiring.
Hey Darrick,
Great composition of the Seven Sisters but I love what you did with your last piece too.

Shocking beautiful.
Wow. Just wow. This has got to be one of the most beautiful pieces Ive seen done in Zbrush. I am using one of the pics as my background now. Truly awe inspiring. I GOT TO check this thread tomorrow morning to see the videos. Thank you so much for this and congratulations.
that’s so impressive how it took for you to create this piece form scratch
Hello Everyone, I must apologize for the lack of response the last two weeks or so, I have been having some health problems that kept me away from the computer.
LordKaniche- Thanks LordKaniche! The Seven Sisters is a whole original concept. I am sure there are plenty of similar pieces but I did not draw from outside sources on this particular piece. When concepting this I mainly wanted a sense of presence, then I started drawing some of the random creations in my mind and one thing led to the next.
SolidSnakexxx- Awesome SolidSnakexxx, I am glade they could help you out!
anandpg- Thanks alot! I hope the videos could help you out.
rudymassar- Thanks Rudymassar!
jmenna- Thank you very much!
rasmusW- Thanks rasmusW, I hope they help!
pOiNtPuShEr- Thanks pOiNtPuShEr!
omialmighty- Thanks omialmighty, I hope they can be help to you. There are a thousand and one ways to do things in ZBrush I just wanted to share one of the many ways of getting through a character.
creature- Thanks!
Teomaco- Thank you very much!
mrwednesday- Thank you very much Mr. Wednesday!
DT CARTAMANIA- Thank you. Time line… for the nude on the stool it took about 4 hours. With the seven sisters it was a stop and start project because I was doing this in my spare time. With concepting to the renders shown it was about 40 hours total.
I have to say that this thread should have been hugging the top row spot weeks ago. the first post is jaw dropingly good and as a work of art it’s phenomenal. Beta testing or no beta testing, put this up there.
Beautiful piece.
