This is a complete and perfect information about the ZBrush 4.0 and about its upgradation. It is really very useful for me.
Try to make architectural visualization in Zbrush and remesh it in 3dcoat to render under 3ds max and trust me - you will know the answer. Alternatively you can try model a car the same way.

I agree with you there. I would like to see these sculpting programs offer some more box like modeling tools as well. Zbrush is getting there. Would love to See Pixol acquire Silo 3D. Merge the two.

ZBrush 4, in just 9 days guys!, i think the best thing we can do in the meantime, is do some last sculpts in ZBrush 3 and remember all that enjoyable days making cool stuff with this version.

If you click the eye next to the current subtool and hide it all other subtools are hidden instead.

I will limit myself to a big thank you to Pixologic.
I bought ZBrush not so long ago, but when I did it, I was convinced it was worth every penny. Now, I will get a gift, a lot of very nice new features. Did I do anything special to deserve it ? Not really, it’s just the manifestation of something very rare in our world, the dedication and respect showed by a company to its customers.
Don’t get me wrong, of course they are features I dream of ! Of course I am disappointed some of them don’t seem to have made it to this version. I want ZBrush to be as powerful as possible because I don’t want it to loose its place in the 3D world. But my point is, ZBush comes with the rarest and most precious feature you can dream of, the dedication of a team to give the best possible tool to its customers
Oh, and btw, I’m not a fanboy, I also own a copy of 3DCoat and its retopology tools kicks a…s !

Yeah, but just if it is the active subtool, where you click on the eye symbol!
The active subtool is always visible, so if you hide all the subtools this way, you can jump between the subtools and have only the one visible, that is currently selected.
So with the eye symbol of the selected (active) subtool, you switch the visibility on or off of all subtools at once and with the eye symbols of the deselected subtools you just affect the visibility of that particular subtool alone.
I would really like to find out how it is useful to have the solo turned on and cycle through all the other subtools,.
Solo means you want to see only that subtool to work on that subtool, because it is the only one you can see.
Nice to have the option, but in reality solo is used to work on the active tool, not the inactive/invisible ones.

Yes they announed it will be in 3D but you need special 0.5D glasses.

hey space your picture says it all if data is confused why shouldn’t we be at least there is finally a release date. hopefully i get to become a betatester eventually this time around since i know a great deal about the ins and the outs of zbrush and im improving in my work every time i do a sculpt, hope to reach a level that will open up the door just not sure what steps i have to take to have pixologic give me permission to… nice showing of possibilities and what looks to be some really innovative features especially shadowbox and matchmaker not mention in updated render engine that will render shadows from behind the sculpture cant wait. lets hope that both me and you will have the chance to be able to use reference the right way also and multi display support…
